Weddings Around The World...in PDX

Weddings around the world showcase. So much amazing talent at one place. Of course the Russian showcase room was the best, and I'm not just tooting the horn. :)

Winter wonderland. Perfect combination for a winter wedding.

so elegant. I'm not sure if I would use feathers unless I want to dust while I'm at it..jk. It is beautiful.

vintage collection. I could see this in my house

These are the most beautiful plates and arrangement I have ever seen. ever.  That little teacup and picture frame? Have you seen something that?? I personally can't stop looking at it. Magnificent.

who knew that putting a bunch of carnations together in a ball can look so elegant and classy

modern yet flashy. maybe it's all the diamonds that catch my attention..

it's the little accessories and punches of color that really matter

I used to love daisy's. they were my favorite flowers. they remind me of summer, playfulness, innocence, simple yet colorful

one of a kind

this is my love

Spray It, Don't Say It

This is before picture of a nightstand, that is totally out dated. Check out that fancy "gold plated" outlines, oooo  bling bling.

To paint two of these, I bought about 4 or 5 cans of semi-gloss black spray paint from Home Depot. It was about $2.89 per can. I then lightly sanded the shine off the nightstand. I did try to spray paint without the sanding, and it seemed to work fine. However, to make sure to prevent any bubbling or future peeling, I took the safe way and sanded them (doesn't take long anyway).

I also took off the handles as I won't be using them, and threw them to the curb. I taped magazines on the inside so when I sprayed after I took the drawers out, the inside wouldn't get black as well.

Spray painted about 3-4 coats, letting the first two dry few min's in between and I actually did the last 2 coats the next day; I read this works better.

One side for some reason wasn't smooth and bubbled.. so I sanded it and re-sprayed it.

Simple, on the budget side, new handles. under $30 for 2 "new" nightstands
